| Cupertino Union School District Voice Over IP Voice and Data Network Installation |
The Cupertino Union School District includes 20 elementary schools and four middle schools in a 26-square mile area in California's Silicon Valley. Cupertino wanted to upgrade a Nortel PBX system to a scalable voice solution that would integrate with its data network for easy deployment of phones, and replace its legacy 3Com Fast Ethernet network with a higher-speed LAN to drive its technology-based education programs. PWT installed a 3Com NBX Voice over IP Voice and Data System across 27 sites connected on a T-1 Wan. |
|
| Mountain View-Whisman School District Voice Over IP Data System |
Mountain View-Whisman School District includes seven elementary schools and two middle schools in the San Francisco Bay area. The District used an old AT&T PBX system, and their data network was also a mesh of old hubs and switches that were installed at different times. PWT installed a new centralized 3Com Voice over IP system to serve the entire district. The sites are connected across a Gig Fiber network using Cisco switches at the core. Switches at the edge were replaced with 3Com SS-3 switches. |

| Monterey Peninsula Community College Voice Over IP Data System |
At Monterey Peninsula Community College, PWT integrated a Cisco AVVID phone system with a 20-year old NEC system. The installation required the two systems to co-exist for a period of one year until additional funding was available to fully displace the NEC. In Phase One, we deployed over 300 phones to 10 buildings with a fiber gig backbone. Twenty other buildings that were still on the NEC phone system were also integrated into the Call Manager. The project included integrating full unified messaging into an Exchange 2000 environment. |
